Traditionally applied to metals, to include firearms, Cerakote is produced by NIC Industries, Inc. Cerakote is located on 10 acres of land in White City, Oregon. State of the art manufacturing, ASTM testing lab, Training Center, R&D Facility and warehousing are all located at this facility.

Oakley sought to apply Cerakote to it’s eyewear to improve durability, and pay homage to the culture of thin ceramic coatings application. For years, Military and recreational gun enthusiasts have been coating their firearms with Cerakote. The coating improves abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and has anti-thermal properties.
